Former President Donald Trump and a flotilla of accused co-conspirators were booked at the Fulton County, Georgia, jail this week on charges usually brought against mobsters. The good news? After one of his co-defendants requested a speedy trial, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis responded that she’d be happy to do so. The 19 defendants in the case will be tried together.
Cherokee Nation parsed no words firing back at Gov. Kevin Stitt’s continued slander of the 39 federally-recognized tribes in our state when Stitt said in an address to the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce Thursday that tribal sovereignty was a “storm of injustice.” Note: the news story I just linked about Stitt’s speech to the Chamber did not include the governor’s attack on the tribes.
Union Public Schools in Tulsa, as well as one of their teachers, received three bomb threats this week after the notorious Libs of TikTok doctored a video by the teacher, which was shared by Wreckin’ Ball Ryan Walters. To date, neither the governor’s office or Walters’ have repudiated the threats of violence against our school children and educators.
Finally, the Oklahoma State Department of Education voted to approve Tulsa Public Schools’ accreditation for one more year, perhaps thanks to TPS Superintendent Dr. Deborah Gist announcing she would step down from her role in order to avoid a state takeover of the district. Walters continued his attack on both Gist and Tulsa schools in the OSDE meeting today.
