Everyone Should Care

Why were Oklahoma’s legislative leaders gung-ho to slip two proposed constitutional amendments onto the Aug. 25 runoff ballot – traditionally the campaign year’s lowest turnout election?

As Observercast returns for its fall season, Del City Rep. Andy Fugate joins us to help answer that question in an episode we’re calling Everyone Should Care, a deep-dive into why voters should not – in fact, must not – sit out the opportunity to weigh in on State Questions 844 and 846.

Hint: It’s a legislative power-grab that will make life harder, not better for workaday Oklahomans.

P.S. All registered Oklahoma voters are eligible to cast ballots on the state questions. All means all. Including the nearly half of all voters who aren’t Republicans.
