Trump, Gaetz and nearly 60% of Republican Congress persons oppose further arming Ukrainians as they bleed and die defending their country against the international terrorist and thug, Vladimir Putin.

Are you kidding me and am I kidding you? No to both. Nothing to kid about.

Donald Trump's America First policy is reminiscent of American flying hero Charles Lindbergh's opposition to our country standing against Adolph Hitler as he slowly and then quickly devoured one country after another in central Europe during the 1930s.

To make matters worse people of a certain age will recall British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlin proved he wasn't up to the job when Hitler signed a worthless document promising to be a good boy in the future which, of course, he wasn't.

Based on showboating Rep. Matt Gaetz's behavior as well as Trump's proven ignorance about international realities, our country is treading very near the line of no return – that being when and if Putin's insatiable desire for the creation of dominance in Eastern Europe means an invasion of any NATO membership nation.

Any attack by any country on any NATO membership nation means as attack on all, including the United States. When that not-at-all-remote possibility occurs, we'll have much more in play on the plains of Eastern Europe than tanks, drones, bullets and bombs. We'll have boots on the ground, in a war not dissimilar to that fought and won for the world by The Greatest Generation.

I doubt Gaetz even knows what that means and since Trump is nothing more than a draft-dodging paper tiger, I'm sure he doesn't care. Others better, including you and me, or we'd best brush up on our best second language, and it ain't Spanish.
