CORRECTION: My column states in error the number of lawsuits filed against Walters/OSDE ("some 17 lawsuits.") I have been unable to confirm the exact number upon further review. Per media reports, there are "at least ten" lawsuits pending. I regret the error.

A well-reasoned article. Oklahomans should listen and act. How did this fool, whose brain seems locked in some fantasized past, one that never existed, ever reach a position with this level of responsibility in the first place?

Straight-party voting. He had an (R) next to his name on the ballot. This is his first time to hold elective office. Prior to this, he served as our Gubbernor's appointed Secretary of Ed, for which he was utterly unqualified, but it's a political position so who cares, right? Stitt and Walters are breathing the same air. I will refrain from saying where their heads are lodged. Suffice it to say the air they breathe reeks of something that rhymes with Stitt.

Oklahoma is saturated with Christian Nationalists (first and foremost white supremacists). They pretty much control the state wide vote in Oklahoma and Walters is exactly the kind of person they want in office - one of their own.

Walters a Christian Nationalist, is there to chip away at the separation of church and state. They are doing this in every avenue and base they can. Education is one of their primary targets. Their ultimate goal is to literally turn the U.S. into a full-fledged Theocracy no different in that respect, than say Iran
